AI Assistants

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code to your Kraya account so your own AI assistant can read your leads and act on them.

Overview

AI Assistants lets you connect Claude, ChatGPT or Codex to your Kraya account, so you can ask your own AI assistant about your leads and have it act on them — "which leads did Co-Pilot flag today?", "move Priya to Qualified and set a reminder for tomorrow at 11", "draft a follow-up sequence for leads who went quiet". The assistant works through the same access you have: it sees only your organization, only the pipelines you can see, and anything it changes or sends shows up under your name.

It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the standard these assistants use to plug into other tools. You don't need to know anything about MCP to use it; the AI Assistants page walks you through each assistant.

What you can do

  • Connect Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop), ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code to your Kraya account in a few clicks
  • Choose whether a connection can only view your data, or can also create, edit and delete
  • Ask about leads, chats, call reminders, Co-Pilot flags, sequences, Smart Triggers, broadcasts, templates, analytics and settings in plain language
  • Let the assistant update leads, log calls, set reminders, send or schedule WhatsApp messages, and build sequences and triggers for you (with change access)
  • See every connected assistant, when it was connected and last used, and disconnect any of them instantly
  • Spot changes an assistant made: they're tagged via the assistant's name in the lead's history

How it works

  • The page lives under Integrations Hub → AI Assistants (the card reads "Let Claude, ChatGPT or Codex read your leads and act on them for you.").
  • Every assistant connects to the same Connection URL: https://api.kraya-ai.com/mcp. It's shown on the page with a copy button.
  • Connecting sends you to Kraya to sign in and approve. There's no API key to copy: you sign in with your normal Kraya login, and Kraya never shares your password with the assistant.
  • On the approval screen you pick what the assistant may do. View your Kraya data — leads, chats, automations and settings is always included. Create, edit and delete leads, messages, automations and settings is optional, and marked "Sent messages and deletes can't be undone."
  • The assistant acts as you. It uses your pipelines and your role: if you can't see a lead or change a setting in the dashboard, the assistant can't either. Settings that only admins can change stay admin-only through the assistant.
  • Changes it makes go through the same rules as the dashboard, so a stage move made by an assistant can fire your Smart Triggers and sequences, exactly like one you make by hand.
  • A view-only connection never sees the change tools. If you ask it to change something, it tells you the connection is read-only.

Step-by-step guide

Connecting an assistant

  1. In the Dashboard sidebar, open Integrations Hub and click AI Assistants.
  2. Under Connect an assistant, pick yours and follow the hint next to it:
    • Claude — click Connect. Claude opens with a custom connector already filled in as Kraya; press Add, then Connect. On Claude's Free plan you can have one custom connector. On Claude Team or Enterprise, an Owner must first add it in Organization settings → Connectors.
    • ChatGPT — click Open settings. Available on ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. Turn on Developer mode in Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, press Create, and paste the Connection URL.
    • Codex — click Open Codex, or run the command shown on the page: codex mcp add kraya --url https://api.kraya-ai.com/mcp. If it doesn't ask you to sign in, run codex mcp login kraya.
    • Claude Code — run the command shown on the page: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user kraya https://api.kraya-ai.com/mcp. Then open Claude Code, type /mcp and choose Authenticate.
  3. Your assistant sends you to Kraya. If you aren't signed in, you'll see Sign In to Continue — sign in and you're brought straight back.
  4. On the Connect screen, check the account and organization shown, decide whether to tick Create, edit and delete…, and press Connect.
  5. Back on the AI Assistants page, the assistant now appears under Connected assistants.

Using it

Just ask your assistant in plain language. A few examples:

  • "How many leads are in each stage of my Sales pipeline?"
  • "Show me today's overdue call reminders."
  • "What did Rahul say in his last WhatsApp messages?"
  • "Move Rahul to Qualified and remind me to call him tomorrow at 11 am." (needs change access)
  • "Create a Smart Trigger that stops the welcome sequence when a lead replies STOP." (needs change access; admins only)

For anything that reaches a real person — sending a WhatsApp message, for example — a well-behaved assistant confirms with you first. Kraya doesn't add its own confirmation step, so read what the assistant proposes before saying yes.

Disconnecting an assistant

  1. On the AI Assistants page, find the assistant under Connected assistants.
  2. Click Disconnect and confirm. It loses access to your Kraya account immediately; you can connect it again later.

Removing the connector inside Claude or ChatGPT does not disconnect it from Kraya. Those apps don't tell Kraya when you remove a connector, so the connection stays valid until it goes unused for 30 days. To cut access straight away, always disconnect from the AI Assistants page. (Claude Code is the exception: logging out there does disconnect.)

What the assistant can read and change

With view access the assistant can look up: leads (search, full details and move history, counts per stage), a lead's WhatsApp Business and Instagram chat, logged calls, call reminders, Co-Pilot priority leads, sequences and their steps, Smart Triggers, WhatsApp templates, quick replies, Sales Analytics, your plan, credits, pipelines and automation settings, channel connection health, your AI Knowledge Base and FAQs, and Kraya's own product docs. Admins can also see broadcasts and their per-lead delivery, the team list, Call Scheduler setup and integration status.

With change access it can also: create and edit leads (including stage moves), log calls, add/edit/snooze/complete call reminders, send a WhatsApp message now or schedule one, update the AI Knowledge Base and FAQs, change stages and attributes, change automation switches and business hours, and update your own preferences. Admins can additionally manage quick replies, WhatsApp templates (draft, submit, duplicate, delete), broadcasts (rename, cancel, retry failed), sequences, Smart Triggers, organization settings such as the Call Scheduler and round robin, and Integrations Hub setup. New Smart Triggers an assistant creates start off, so you can review them first.

Settings and configuration

  • Connection URL — https://api.kraya-ai.com/mcp, the same for every assistant and every account.
  • Access per connection — View (always) or View + Create, edit and delete, chosen on the approval screen each time you connect. To change it, disconnect and connect again with the other choice. Reconnecting the same assistant view-only removes its earlier change access.
  • Connected assistants — each row shows the assistant's name, its access (View your Kraya data, plus Create, edit and delete when granted), Connected …, and Last used … or Not used yet.

Role-based behavior

  • Any user on a paid plan can connect their own assistant. It acts as that user, not as the organization.
  • Members get exactly their dashboard access — their pipelines and the actions their role allows.
  • Admins additionally get the admin-only lookups and changes listed above (team, broadcasts, sequences, Smart Triggers, organization and integration settings).

Limits and quotas

  • Available on paid plans. On the Free plan the approval screen shows "Connecting an AI assistant is available on paid plans. Upgrade your plan to continue."
  • Only Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Claude Code are approved. Other MCP clients see "Kraya does not recognise this AI assistant yet."
  • Up to 120 requests a minute per connection, and at most 10 messages sent a minute per organization.
  • Lists come back in pages of up to 50 rows.
  • An assistant can only send WhatsApp messages from your WhatsApp API number. It can't send from hosted WhatsApp sessions, the Chrome Extension or email, can't send audio, and can't start a new broadcast.
  • Sent messages and deletes can't be undone.
  • After 30 days without use, a connection expires and needs to be connected again.

Common edge cases

  • The assistant says the connection is read-only. You didn't tick Create, edit and delete when connecting. Disconnect it and connect again with that box ticked.
  • The assistant says "Only an admin can …". That action is admin-only in Kraya too. Ask an admin, or have an admin connect their own assistant.
  • The assistant can't find a lead you can see in another pipeline. It only sees pipelines your login can see — check you're signed in as the right user.
  • "The same request was made in the last minute." Kraya blocks an identical change repeated within a minute so an assistant retrying doesn't, for example, send a message twice. Check whether the first one worked before asking again.
  • I removed Kraya in ChatGPT but it's still listed in Kraya. Expected — see Disconnecting an assistant. Disconnect it from the AI Assistants page.

Troubleshooting

Problem: "This link has expired. Start the connection again from your AI app."

  • Cause: The sign-in hand-off waited too long.
  • Fix: Start connecting again from your assistant.

Problem: "Kraya does not recognise this AI assistant yet."

  • Cause: The app you're connecting isn't one Kraya has approved.
  • Fix: Use Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code. If you need another assistant, contact support and mention which one.

Problem: "We could not verify this AI assistant."

  • Cause: The assistant's details couldn't be read at that moment.
  • Fix: Try connecting again in a few minutes. If it keeps failing, contact support.

Problem: The AI Assistants page says "Could not load your connected assistants."

  • Fix: Click Retry. If it persists, refresh the page.

Decision tree

  • Can't connect at all → check you're on a paid plan → check you're using one of the four supported assistants → try again from the assistant.
  • Connected but it can't change anything → reconnect with Create, edit and delete ticked.
  • It can change some things but not others → the rest is admin-only.

FAQs

  • Does the assistant get my Kraya password? No. You sign in on Kraya's own page and approve the connection; the assistant only receives a token that works on the AI connection and nowhere else.

  • Will my team see that a change came from an AI? Yes. Changes keep your name, and the lead's history marks stage changes, pipeline changes and logged calls with via the assistant's name.

  • Can the assistant see other organizations' data? No. Every request is limited to the organization you connected.

  • Does using it cost Kraya credits? Looking things up and making ordinary changes doesn't use AI reply credits. If you ask it to run one of Kraya's own AI features — for example Optimize with AI on a message — that feature is charged the same way as in the dashboard. Messages it sends are normal WhatsApp messages, with Meta's usual charges.

  • Can I connect more than one assistant? Yes. Each appears separately under Connected assistants and can be disconnected on its own.

Tips and best practices

  • Start with view-only access and add change access once you trust how you're using it.
  • Be specific when asking for changes — name the lead, the pipeline and the stage — and read the assistant's plan before confirming.
  • Disconnect assistants you no longer use; don't rely on removing them inside the assistant app.
  • "AI assistants can make mistakes. Double-check what they change or send."
  • Co-Pilot — the priority leads an assistant can read
  • Smart Triggers — automations an assistant's stage moves can fire, and that admins can build through it
  • Auto Followups — sequences an admin's assistant can create and edit
  • Integration Hub — where the AI Assistants card lives
  • Support Bot Chat — Kraya's own in-app assistant, which needs no setup
