AI Not Replying

11-step checklist to restore automated AI replies on WhatsApp Web.

Follow this simple checklist to restore automated AI replies and lead qualification on web.whatsapp.com

Quick Navigation

  • Step 1 — Check if your AI Switch is ON
  • Step 2 — Ensure AI Auto‑Reply is ON (then refresh WhatsApp Web)
  • Step 3 — Reload WhatsApp Web
  • Step 4 — Client tab: AI Auto‑Reply + Stage = New Leads
  • Step 5 — Open Chrome's 3‑dot menu
  • Step 6 — Go to Chrome Settings
  • Step 7 — Open Performance
  • Step 8 — Click Add (Site Settings)
  • Step 9 — Add web.whatsapp.com
  • Step 10 — Turn OFF Energy Saver for WhatsApp Web
  • Step 11 — Stage‑level AI toggles in Edit pipeline

Step 1 — Check if your AI Switch is ON

In the Kraya dashboard, open Settings and confirm the global AI switch is enabled.

(Add "Settings > AI Switch" screenshot here)

Step 2 — Make sure the AI Auto‑Reply Switch is ON

If it's OFF, switch it ON and refresh your web.whatsapp.com tab.

Tip: After toggling, a quick refresh syncs the setting to your active WhatsApp session.

Step 3 — Reload WhatsApp Web

Do a browser reload of the WhatsApp Web tab to apply changes.

Step 4 — On the Client tab ensure AI Auto‑Reply is ON and Stage is New Leads

Open the Client tab for the relevant lead:

  • Confirm the AI Auto‑Reply toggle is ON.
  • Make sure the lead's pipeline stage is New Leads. The AI agent auto‑engages only in this stage.

Want AI to engage in the Qualified stage? Manually switch ON AI Auto‑Reply for each lead in Qualified.

Step 5 — Click the 3‑dot menu in Chrome (top‑right)

We'll adjust a browser setting so Chrome doesn't throttle WhatsApp Web in the background.

Step 6 — Open Chrome Settings

From the menu, click Settings.

Step 7 — Go to the Performance tab

In the left sidebar, open Performance.

Step 8 — Click Add

Under the site exceptions/allow‑list section, click Add.

Step 9 — Select web.whatsapp.com and click Add

Choose web.whatsapp.com so Chrome keeps it active for AI replies.

Step 10 — Turn OFF Energy Saver for WhatsApp Web

Disable the Energy Saver (or similar power optimization) for web.whatsapp.com so background throttling doesn't pause the AI.

If Energy Saver is ON, AI messages may get delayed when the tab is inactive or the laptop is on battery.

Step 11 — Stage‑level AI toggles in Edit pipeline

Open your pipeline EDIT panel and make sure the AI toggle is enabled for the stages where you want automatic engagement.

  • On the dashboard, click EDIT beside the stage bar.
  • In the Edit and Shuffle modal, turn the AI toggle ON for New Lead (required for auto‑qualification).
  • Optionally enable the AI toggle for Qualified if you also want AI to engage there.

If stage‑level AI toggles are OFF, the AI will not engage even when global settings are ON.
